Brazil pushed hard and was rewarded against Chile
  • Cleber scored both goals of the match.
  • Brazil will look to secure qualification against Venezuela.

In a tough match that closed the fourth round of Group B, Brazil managed to overcome Chile and secure their second victory of the tournament.

The first half ended goalless, although the Canarinha created the best chances. There were even two shots off the post in the same play, as Lucão and Marlon came close to opening the scoring for the reigning champions.

The 0-0 draw remained deep into the second half. At the seven-minute mark, the match was delayed due to rain, and after the restart Brazil finally broke the deadlock, scoring twice through Cleber.

With the win, Brazil reach 7 points and will fight for qualification on Friday against Venezuela (already qualified). Meanwhile, Chile will face Colombia to determine whether they finish third or fourth in the group.
