CONMEBOL Copa América™ Femenina: The draw will take place on December 19

The CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina 2025™ will be played in 2 phases: preliminary phase (group stage) and final phase. (The six (6) teams qualified from the Preliminary Phase will participate in this stage, which includes the following matches: 5th place match, semifinals, 3rd place match, and the final).

Competition Format

All phases will be played in a single round-robin format. The Preliminary Phase will feature 10 teams divided into 2 groups of 5 teams each.

The top three teams from each group will advance to the Final Phase (the third-placed teams in each group will compete for 5th place, and the top two teams from each group will compete in the semifinals).

The Participating Member Associations (PMAs) of the CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina 2025™ are representatives of the following countries:

Argentina
Bolivia
Brazil
Chile
Colombia
Ecuador (host)
Paraguay
Peru
Uruguay
Venezuela

Draw Methodology

The seeded teams for each group of the CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina 2025™ are defined as follows:

Group A (Position A1): The Host Member Association (HMA) will be the seeded team for Group A (Ecuador).

Group B (Position B1): The current champion of the CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina 2022™ will be the seeded team for Group B. If the Host Member Association and the current champion are the same, the seeded team for Group B will be the runner-up of the CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina 2022™ (current champion: Brazil).

In Pot 1, the two highest-ranked Member Associations (final standings of the CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina 2022™) will occupy Position 2 in each group (runner-up: Colombia; third place: Argentina). The first ball drawn will be A2, and the second ball B2;
In Pot 2, the next two highest-ranked Member Associations (final standings of the CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina 2022™) will occupy Position 3 in each group (fourth place: Paraguay; fifth place: Chile). The first ball drawn will be A3, and the second ball B3;
In Pot 3, the next two highest-ranked Member Associations (final standings of the CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina 2022™) will occupy Position 4 in each group (sixth place: Venezuela; since the seventh position was taken by the Host Member Association - Ecuador, the spot will be filled by the next-ranked team, i.e., eighth place: Uruguay). The first ball drawn will be A4, and the second ball B4;
In Pot 4, the next two highest-ranked Member Associations (final standings of the CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina 2022™) will occupy Position 5 in each group (ninth place: Bolivia; tenth place: Peru). The first ball drawn will be A5, and the second ball B5.
