  • Bacian scored the winning goal.
  • Uruguay will seek qualification in the final group stage match against Bolivia.

Chile secured its third victory in the CONMEBOL Copa América Fútbol Playa 2025™ and became the first team to qualify for the semifinals.

Tobar and Durán scored for La Roja in the first period, giving them a 2-0 lead at the first break.

In a quick burst during the second period, Uruguay equalized with goals from Ortíz and Miranda. In the final play of that period, San Martín hit the post with a penalty kick.

The third period was tightly contested, with both teams pushing for the win. The victory ultimately went to the hosts: a bicycle kick from San Martín was deflected by Bacian and ended up in Uruguay’s net.

Chile secured its spot in the semifinals and will now aim to qualify for its first-ever World Cup. Meanwhile, Uruguay needs to defeat Bolivia in the final match and hope for a Chilean victory over Colombia to advance to the semifinals.
